The Metrograph Issue 1

A new biannual for cinephiles launched by the eponymous New York arthouse cinema, The Metrograph celebrates the ‘different personalities and artistic sensibilities drawn together under the big tent that is cinema.’ 

Issue 1 of The Metrograph features cover artwork by cinematographer Ed Lachman with Jean-Luc Godard at Zoetrope studios, a 30-page centerpiece celebration of Clint Eastwood, including The Metrograph Interview No. 1 by Nick Pinkerton, and contributions from Ari Aster, Daniel Clowes, Abel Ferrara, A.S. Hamrah, Hunter Harris, Yiyun Li, Steve Martin, Cookie Mueller, Amalia Ulman, Simon Rex, Josh Safdie, Lucy Sante, Thora Siemsen and more.
