Paraboot Michael - Black Cerf / Rubber Sole

  • The Michael is the shoe that made Paraboot's reputation outside of France. Introduced in 1945 - the year Michel Richard, son of the brand's second-generation owner, was born - it's been in continuous production ever since, worn across generations and across genders without ever needing a refresh. Made in France using Norwegian stitching, the same heavy-duty welt construction used in traditional mountain footwear, adapted here for the street.
  • The upper is Black Cerf, a dense, burnished deer leather with a natural matte texture and a depth that smooth calf can't replicate. Norwegian stitching runs the perimeter, a leather lining adds structure and breathability, and the generously rounded last gives the toe its signature silhouette - broad and purposeful, not precious. Natural gum rubber sole throughout.
  • This is the derby that gets referenced when people talk about "the shoe" — the one that designers copy and enthusiasts stockpile. The Cerf upper in black is the most versatile expression of the model: substantial enough to anchor a tailored look, rugged enough to wear with workwear, and interesting enough in texture to hold its own against either.
